Our Team

Hamish Kennedy L.L.B. - Hamish has practised law in Motueka since 1981, having completed his law degree at Canterbury University.

He has a wide experience and has established a large client base. Hamish's main areas of practise are in Property, Commercial, Trust & Estate Law.

Outside the office Hamish's time is taken up with a family of four and enjoying the opportunities the Nelson area has to offer.

Helmut Scholzel - Helmut and his family made the decision to move from South Africa early in 2009.

Family in Motueka brought them to the top of the South Island and, with a job offer at Kennedy & Associates, they made the move to Motueka.

Helmut is currently a Legal Executive but will sit exams to allow his South African law degree to be recognised, at which time he will be employed as a Staff Solicitor. Bringing with him 14 years of litigation experience, he is currently working in Relationship Property, Resource Management, Civil Litigation, and Family Law so as to expand areas of our practice.

Helmut and his family are enjoying their new life in Motueka, and Helmut is a keen hunter and fisherman.

Judith Stamper - Judith has worked for Kennedy & Associates since 1994.

During this time she has gained a wide range of knowledge and experience within a legal office. Judith is completing her formal Legal Executive course and specialises in Residential conveyancing.

She has two adult children and is a keen rugby fan.

Sandra Moore NZILE - On leaving school Sandra started work as a Law Clerk in Christchurch.

After a break to raise a family she returned to work and completed her Legal Executive qualifications. She is a Registered Legal Executive and an Associate member of the New Zealand Institute of Legal Executives Incorporated.

Sandra joined Kennedy & Associates in 2006 when she moved to Motueka. She has a speciality knowledge in all aspects of easement and subdivision work, including unit title & elderly persons housing developments, boundary adjustments and land office requirements.

Sandra is a keen table tennis player having represented Canterbury for many years. She is a member of the Nelson Branch of the Vintage Car Club and is presently working on her 1951 Austin A40 Devon.

Jodie Limmer - Jodie has worked for us for some time and is our Family Trust administrator.

She completes annual gifting documents and assists in keeping the Family Trusts we administer up to date.

Away from work Jodie is kept busy with her family. She is married with two children and enjoys her garden and home renovations.

As our receptionist, Lyn assists in general enquiries and will put you through to the staff member who can help you.

After many years in the Hospital Industry we are pleased to have Lyn assist us in our office.
